Paternity suit filed by former fiancee of Tyreek Hill

On Behalf of | Jul 18, 2019 | Child Support

While many families in Virginia and across the country have a traditional composition, there are a variety of families that do not. Regardless of family composition, parents often face unique situations — that may ultimately require court action. For example, the former fiancee of NFL player Tyreek Hill has recently taken court action to establish the paternity of her twins, and address other issues.

According to court papers, the twins were born the same month as the court filing and have the mother’s last name in addition to living with her. In addition to establishing the infants’ paternity, her goal through the court action is to establish supervised parenting time and appropriate child support. She is also asking the court to determine that it is in the children’s best interest for her to have sole legal and physical custody.

The former couple were reportedly involved in a child abuse case involving their son, age three, in the months prior to the recent filing. While reports indicate that the child was removed from their custody, the child’s current placement is unclear. No criminal charges were filed as a result of the probe.

Some families are complex. As a result, it may become necessary to take court action to establish paternity and other related issues, such as parenting time and child support. To help ensure that the child’s best interests are represented to the court, many people in Virginia and across the country want to make sure that they have an experienced family law professional on their side as they fight for their children.
